Kristina studied at the SDI in Munich for three years to become a state-certified translator and interpreter, with English as a main language and engineering as a special subject. She was awarded a scholarship for outstanding achievements in her final year of study. This was followed by a Master’s course at the University of Salford in England, with a Master’s degree in Translating and Interpreting. During this course and a one-year stay in New Zealand she was able to develop a true feeling for the English language. She has been working as a freelance translator and interpreter for several years and has gathered experience as a project and team manager for a translation agency. In addition to this, she teaches technical translation at the SDI for several hours a week.
